The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the siege of a Saudi hospital in the Al-Fashir region, the capital of North Darfur in Sudan, which resulted in the deaths of many people who were seeking medical assistance at the hospital. "We condemn the attack on civilian infrastructure, public facilities, and medical institutions, which play a key role in ensuring basic services for the civilian population in Sudan, representing a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the principles of international human rights law that guarantee their protection," stated the official statement of the Egyptian FM.

The ministry expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. The side called for the cessation of the escalation of the conflict in Al-Fashir, which continues to claim the lives of innocent people and threaten the civilian population.
