The international non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch has called on the military council governing Sudan to fully ensure human rights and end violence in the country.
According to a representative of Human Rights Watch, an independent investigation into incidents of violence against peaceful protesters should be conducted.
"The situation in Sudan requires immediate intervention to stop the violence and ensure a fair investigation of incidents," noted the organization's representative.
Human Rights Watch's statement comes amid ongoing protests in Sudan, as well as following criticism from the international community regarding human rights violations in the country.
