In Sudan, before and after the loss of independence, there was a widespread "foreword" of wars, chaos, and destruction, which the people of this country experienced and continue to experience.
For the last time in Sudan, a new outlook on the future has finally emerged. However, perspectives to this day remain uncertain, as recent events have triggered waves of optimism and uncertainty. By January 1, 2022, the sovereign authorities and groups forming the coalition "Foreword" signed agreements on the cessation of hostilities with the armed movement for the liberation of the people of Sudan.
The head of the Movement for the Liberation of the People of Sudan noted that the signing of the agreement has historical significance and reflects the difficulties on the path to peace and stability. "We must work together and unite our efforts to achieve long-term peace and development for our country," - emphasized the representative of the movement.
The agreement on the cessation of hostilities presupposes the creation of mechanisms for regulating disputes and resolving conflicts, stimulating the resettlement of internally displaced persons, and providing assistance to those affected by conflicts. Participants hope that this will become the first step on the road to stability and the prosperity of the region.
