Dr. Anwar bin Muhammad Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, stated in a post on the social media platform X: "From Al-Fashir to Omdurman, an end must be put to the horrors of the civil war in Sudan".
Gargash added: "Ethnic-based killings are heinous crimes that demand accountability and justice".
He continued, saying: "There is no military solution, but an immediate ceasefire, unimpeded access to humanitarian aid, and a smooth transition to an independent civilian government, as stated in the Quartet's communiqué".
He added: "Throwing bodies into canals and burying them in mass graves... CNN is investigating how the Sudanese army carried out ethnically motivated killings".
