On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Finance announced that Mirgani Idris has been appointed as the acting director of the Sudanese industrial and commercial system.
Mirgani Idris has been appointed to this position directly after the adoption of the Sudanese indication regarding the cessation of military conflict in Darfur and the signing of a peace agreement with the rebels.
"This is a historic moment for Sudan. The appointment of Idris to the post of general director signifies the country's commitment to modernizing its industrial sector," noted the representative of the Ministry of Finance.
Idris previously held leading positions in the industrial sector and has extensive experience in this field.
"We are confident that his experience and professionalism will help develop Sudan's industrial sector and ensure the country's security," emphasized the representative of the Ministry.
